Electric tools and household utensils
- Make sure that the tool or equipment you are servicing is unplugged, i.e. disconnected from the power supply or without battery.
- Open the collector/brush assembly compartment.
- Disconnect the connecting cables. Identify and ensure that the rewiring is in the same position.
- Remove the used brushes and note the position on the brush holder.
- Place the new brushes in the same position as the old ones that were removed.
- Reconnect the wires to the terminals.
- Check the pressure of the brushes by simply moving from the bottom up and checking that they are in proper contact with the pickup.
- Close the compartment.
